Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson was her mother, while Thomas Allison Lennox was her father. Lennox was accepted into the Royal Academy of Music in London in the 70s, where she learned the flute piano and harpsichord for three years. Lennox was able to survive on the stipend of a student, and worked part-time in order to earn a living. Lennox wasn't satisfied with the level of her performance compared with the other students at the Royal Academy and began looking at other options. Lennox performed flute in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. But she quit when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. From 1977 to 1980 she was main vocalist of The Tourists, a British Pop group. That was also where she came across Dave Stewart with whom she would form Pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox was working on her own debut record Diva. It came out in 1993. Both commercially as well as critically it was a huge achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist was released in October of 2014. The C.D. The C.D. is comprised of Lennox's favourite blues, jazz, and soul songs from her youth. Lepidoptera is a compilation of four tracks that she improvised for piano that Lennox released in May, 2019. The E.P. Her first album, Now I Letting You Go... was released as the perfect accompaniment to her work of artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art.
